The New Albany Youth Basketball League (NAYBL) is a non-profit program dedicated to providing fun and educational programs to children in grades K-6. Through instructional programs and recreational leagues, children will learn the fundamentals of the sport in a fun, relaxed environment.

Youth Basketball is available to students in grades K-6th.

Middle School Basketball

Middle School Basketball is available to students in grades 7th-8th who wish to play basketball and are not on the Middle School Basketball Teams.

High School Basketball

High School Basketball is available to students in grades 9th-12th who wish to play basketball and are not on the High School Basketball Teams.

Youth Basketball

1st – 2nd Grade Basketball League

This program will focus on all of the fundamentals of basketball. This is a developmental program, no score is kept and games are not officiated. The eight-week program will start with two weeks of practices. The remaining six weeks will be broken down into a short practice, followed by a 4-quarter game. Volunteer coaches are needed. Participants will meet for one hour each week within the dedicated time range. All participants will receive a jersey.

3rd – 6th Grade Basketball League

Leagues are provided for boys and girls in grades 3-6. The league has officiated games and weekday practices. Participants will receive dri-fit jerseys. The league concludes with a postseason showcase or tournament.

Dribble Camp

Open to children in grades K-5, this 5-week program focuses on the fundamentals of ball handling. Campers will receive a t-shirt and a basketball. Additionally, they will have the chance to perform the Dribble Camp routine during half-time of a New Albany Varsity Basketball Game. Participants will meet for 1 hour within the 1:30-4:30 time block based on the number of registrations.

Registration for Winter Sports will begin on September 1st.

High School Basketball

Registration is open to boys and girls in grades 9-12 who wish to play basketball and are not on the High School basketball teams. Please register for this league even if you are trying out for the High School teams. This will hold your spot in the league until school teams are announced.

Players may request to play on same team during the registration process.
Players without a team are welcome to register. They will be assigned to a free agent pool. If teams need players or there are enough free agents to create a full team, they will be assigned as such prior to the first game. If teams do not need an extra player or there are not enough free agents to create a new team, those players will be provided full refunds.
Team names cannot be vulgar in nature.
Teams must provide their own jerseys. These can be matching colored shirts or jerseys, but must have numbers of them.
Each team is required to provide at least parent representative. This purpose of this person is to monitor the players and help with the scoreboard. All parent volunteers and/or parent coaches are subject to a background check.
Game are on Sunday mornings and early afternoon in the NA HS Gymnasium unless notified otherwise.
There are no practices or evaluations for this division.
The teams will play an 8 game regular season, followed by a post season tournament.
