Field Hockey

New Albany Middle School Field Hockey will focus on fundamentals, skill development, teamwork and game play. No previous experience is required. Typically, players are divided into two teams, determined by skill level. Both teams have a full competitive schedule playing other school and club teams throughout Columbus. Players must provide their own transportation to and from games. Registration is open to non-residents, provided space is available.

Program Details:

Location – Bevelhymer Park Yellow Zone (7950 Bevelhymer Rd.)
Uniforms – Game jerseys will be provided. Black, non-pleated skort must be purchased separately. Shin guard socks must be purchased separately (white socks for home games, black socks for away games).
Season – August 5th – October 12th

Equipment:

Field Hockey Stick
Shin Guards: Field hockey shin guards are required. Soccer shin guards are not permitted
Shin Guard Socks: To be worn over field hockey shin guards
Mouth Guard: Must be a color other than white or clear for official games
Shoes: Cleats for grass play (field hockey specific cleats or soccer-style cleats are permitted). *For turf games, turf shoes or athletic shoes are also permitted. No cleats with metal spikes.

Registration is open to NAPLS District residents only through date TBD. If space is still available, non -residents will be considered after Date TBD.*

A $50 non-resident fee applies to players living outside the New Albany-Plain Local School District.
