Bevelhymer Park

Opened in 2001, Bevelhymer Park is the hub of the park district’s activities.

The park district office and the equipment facility are located at the 145-acre grounds along with 32 fields for baseball, softball, soccer, football, and lacrosse. The complex also offers residents two tennis courts, a paved walking trail, concession stands, restroom facilities, outdoor fitness equipment, and playgrounds.

Bevelhymer Park is divided into color zones and each entrance has an address. Please see the bottom of this page for the color zone map and the address for that zone. Please note that pets are NOT permitted at any New Albany Parks and Recreation facility. Parks close at sunset.

Park Rules

Park closes at sunset, except with approved organized activities.
Alcohol, all tobacco products, the use of firearms, fireworks, BB guns, archery equipment, slingshots, and paintball guns are prohibited.
All pets must be leashed within the park, with a maximum leash length of 10′ which must be attached to the owner. Must follow hours of pets being allowed in the park.
Owners must pick up all waste left by their pet.
No kite flying or other aerial activities near overhead powerlines.
Under Speed vehicles must remain on legal roadways and driveways inside the park.
Vehicles deemed street legal are not able to travel on paths or roadways, therefore are prohibited from entering the park.
Under Speed Vehicles and full size vehicles are not permitted to travel on pedestrian/biking trails.
Under Speed Vehicles and full size vehicles are prohibited from driving through and parking in the grass areas, including near playing fields with the intent to spectate activities.
No parking along roadways, only in designated parking spaces in the asphalt lots.
No ATV’s, or motorbikes allowed on park grounds.
Skateboards, scooters, rollerblades, and bicycles are prohibited on the concrete paths and surfaces around the concession/restroom buildings.
No selling or solicitation of goods or services without written approval from the Director.
Do not display, place or distribute flyers, circulars, advertisements, etc, or display banners, emblems, or signs without specific permission from the Director.
SPEED LIMIT: The park speed limit is 10 miles per hour.
Must be a resident of the New Albany Park District over the age of 18.
