 Participants will conduct a number of hands-on STEM activities including paper rockets, bridge and tower building, simple chemistry experiments, design challenges, some outdoor activities (weather permitting), and potentially drone flying.

Pete Barnes

E3 Building stem teacher

Pete Barnes has 28 years of teaching experience and over 20 years teaching in New Albany. He taught 5th grade science for 20 years and now plans STEM activities for students in grades K-12. He has served as co-chair of the district science fair, director of the Elementary Science Olympiad, director of the school greenhouse and gardening projects, co-advisor to the elementary drone club, and co-advisor to the high school environmental club.
